In a recent NYT Bits Blog post, Ian Austen writes about the Flash capabilities that the new BlackBerry PlayBook will possess when launched on April 19th.
These capabilities differentiate the PlayBook from the main player of the tablet field, Apple’s iPad, which is not currently compatible with Flash. Websites, videos, and games that utilize Flash will now be at the tip of BlackBerry supporters’ fingertips.
However, Flash is available on popular tablets like the Motorola Xoom and the Samsung Galaxy Tab, so will this be a defining feature that separates the PlayBook from the pack?
There are plenty of loyal Berry users out there that have been anxiously awaiting the arrival of a tablet with a familiar interface, but how will it fare in the long-term? Anybody really excited about the Flash? Do you have any particular websites you want to visit or games you’d like to be able to play on your PlayBook?
