Several models of CONVERT smartphone cases meet MilSpecs

Military specifications, or MilSpecs, are standards used to measure military durability in various contexts and are often attached to products designed to withstand demanding environments.

Our CONVERT cases for the HTC EVO 4G (CONVERT & CONVERT Extended), HTC ThunderBolt (CONVERT & CONVERT Extended) HTC Inspire 4G, Apple iPhone 4, Google Nexus S, passed the MilSpec Drop Test (MIL-STD-810G Transit Drop).

This drop test involves dropping the CONVERT-encased device from a height of 48 inches onto a hardwood surface. After each drop, the display was checked and incoming/outgoing calls were made to test voice and call quality. The camera mechanisms were also tested by taking photographs and filming short video clips. It was determined that the case and device remained fully functional and intact after the drop.

While the Transit Drop Test does not include tests against wind/dust, fire/rain, or other extreme conditions, you can rest assured that the CONVERT will keep your deviceĀ  protected from drops, falls, and even the occasional bad day.

We are excited to bring you a product that is not only convertible, but also durable. We’re in the process of testing additional models, and we look forward to bringing this new feature to more products in the future. Did your CONVERT pass the MilSpec test? What devices would you like to see tested soon?
