A case maker’s commendation of Steve Jobs

Coming from the tech industry, I can tell you that there are quite a few days that are hard – people have a criticism for every new innovation, competitors beat you to an idea, and your favorite prototype doesn’t go to market. All too often, these frustrations make us forget that our careers are not only supposed to be a means of making a living, but also a path for our passions to grow on.

Today, our industry lost a man who never let these things stand in the way of his pursuit of excellence. Steve Jobs was not only the brains behind Apple, but the icon behind a generation of tech-savvy, ambitious, and inventive people. Among other accomplishments, he resurrected the mp3 player, refined the cell phone into something beautiful, and gifted us with the first widely-accepted consumer tablet, the iPad.

MacBooks, iPod, and iTunes became deejays’ new best friends, iPhones made all kinds of applications and life savers possible (Hi FaceTime and Instagram), and iPad started a whole ‘nother kind of game.  We saw it all, and then grew up to be Engadget-reading, CES-gawking, trade show-traveling smartphone accessory makers who love the industry and what it has become.

Whenever we travel, we always hear – “What do you have for the iPhone and iPad?” That simple question speaks volumes about what consumers want and where they go to get it. As our company grows, we will continue to make cases, holsters, and power solutions for as many devices as possible, but there is always a special place in our hearts for Apple’s creations.

Similar to Apple’s vision, our products are designed with you in mind. We want to help you maximize your mobile experience through giving you that extra battery life or protecting your iPhone when dropped.

We’ll have iPhone 4S cases available soon. In the meantime, let’s raise our glasses to the man who inspired us to always be chasing something, namely our dreams. Here’s to you, Steve.
