Microsoft recently announced a new competitor in the tablet market, Surface. This got us to thinking about our own SURFACE Case and the similarities and differences between the two.
Our SURFACE cases are thin and sleek, perfect for those who want to shield their device from everyday wear. Depending on the device’s size and dimensions, the case either snaps or slides together. Precision cut-outs allow access to all ports and controls, and the case is finished with our signature soft-touch coating that doesn’t attract lint and slides easily in and out of your pocket or purse.
The Surface for Windows RT is a new tablet from Microsoft that is powered by an NVIDIA-made ARM chip and even includes a built-in kickstand. It has a 10.6-inch HD display and can connect through WiFi. Microsoft will even have a protective cover for the tablet that has a keyboard and trackpad. There will be two versions of this tablet with storage of 32GB or 64GB. There are also ports for HDMI, microSD and USB 2.0. This version is scheduled to launch around the same time as the Windows 8 launch in the Fall with no official pricing yet announced.
We also have the SURFACE™ Plus case that integrates sleek protection with battery life into one case and can be securely carried by the accompanying belt-clip holster. Our newest innovation also give you the option to remove the battery in the case, replace it with our spare Innocell 1700mAh Replacement Battery and charge your iPhone and extended battery with one cord.
Microsoft also announced a “Pro” version of their Surface tablet for Windows 8 Pro. This version has an Intel Core i5 (Ivy Bridge) and a larger battery than the Surface for Windows RT. This version will also have USB 3.0, 10.6-inch ClearType Full HD (1080p) capactive touchpanel, and two models at 64GB or 128GB for storage. This version is scheduled to launch about three months after the Windows 8 launch in the Fall with no official pricing yet announced.
