Seidio is based in Houston, Texas and we would like to cover what is going in our hometown. This month marks the 9th year anniversary of Houston Restaurant Week(s). This event raises money for the Houston Food Bank and allows Houstonians to try tasting menus from over 100 restaurants, including many fine dining restaurants!
For every restaurant that has a $35 Dinner menu for Houston Restaurant Weeks, $5 gets donated to the Houston Food Bank. Restaurants that have a $20 lunch menu give a $3 dollar donation for every lunch sold. For restaurants in the Galveston and Montgomery areas, donations go to their local area food banks.
Last week, one of our Seidio employees decided to partake of this event at III Forks in Downtown Houston! Scroll down to see some of the menu items from III Forks.
Here, we have one of the most popular salad choices at III Forks. It’s an award winning salad with a spring mix of lettuce, roasted Texas pecans, granny smith apples, and crumbled blue cheese. The molasses vinaigrette was delicious and reminds one of coffee or breakfast. They also have a tasty lobster bisque.
The most popular main course at the table was the Chateaubriand with Shiitake Mushroom Bordelaise Sauce. Tender medallions of beef are cooked to your choice of doneness and covered with the sauce. It was perfectly seasoned and definitely will not disappoint. Also offered are flounder and chicken options.
III Forks also offers three choices for dessert. All of them are very decadent and not too sweet. The picture to the right is the Chocolate Ganache Cake. It is very rich, chocolately, and delicious. The other options are the Texas Pecan Cake and the Mandarin Orange Cake.
