Our cases are ready for The Hobbit premiere! Are you?

For the Elvish people you know, we suggest our SURFACE cases. The slim and sleek profile of our SURFACE fits perfectly with the gracefulness of the Elves. You can rest assured knowing your smartphone is safe from scratches and abrasions. While Elves may be portrayed as grave and heavy with burdens, they can be as carefree as SURFACE owners! Bilbo gets a glimpse of the Elves of Rivendell laughing and singing:

O! Tril-lil-lil-lolly
the valley is jolly,
ha! ha!

Let us consider what a Hobbit is. Bilbo put it best in his red book, “As for the Hobbits of the Shire, with whom these tales are concerned, in the days of their peace and prosperity they were a merry folk.”

While Hobbits may seem quaint, they are still a most hardy folk. Indeed, they can be adventurous as the other races of Middle Earth if need be. Bilbo Baggins was a thief and burglar recruited by Gandalf the Grey. Bilbo’s description of his people continues:

“Nonetheless, ease and peace had left this people still curiously tough.  They were, if it came to it, difficult to daunt or to kill; and they were, perhaps, so unwearyingly fond of good things not least because they could, when put to it, do without them, and could survive rough handling by grief, foe, or weather in a way that astonished those who did not know them well and looked further than their bellies and their well-fed faces.”

For the Hobbit-esque people in your life, we recommend our ACTIVE cases. The dual layered case provides peace of mind against drops and scratches. It’s a simple, non-fussy case that provides just the right amount of protection from unseen adventures.

And now for the Dwarves. They are a stocky and rugged folk that love to mine gems and precious metals. From the prologue of The Lord of the Rings, “As is told in The Hobbit, there came one day to Bilbo’s door the great Wizard, Gandalf the Grey, and thirteen dwarves with him:  none other, indeed, than Thorin Oakenshield, descendant of kings, and his twelve companions in exile.  With them he set out, to his own lasting astonishment, on a morning of April, it being then the year 1341 Shire-reckoning, on a quest of great treasure, the dwarf-hoards of the Kings under the Mountain, beneath Erebor in Dale, far off in the East.  The quest was successful, and the Dragon that guarded the hoard was destroyed.”

To match these hardy folk, we suggest the CONVERT. A two-in-one case, it is one of our most durable cases around. The three layers of the CONVERT protects your device in any rugged environment. Perfect for Dwarves, construction workers, police officers, and other first responders.

And lastly, for the fans of J.R.R. Tolkien, Peter Jackson, the Lord of the Rings, and The Hobbit, we suggest our OBEX. The OBEX is completely weatherproof and will keep your smartphone safe from rain, snow, and temperature shocks- all of which you may experience as you shiver outside the movie theater to watch the midnight premiere of The Hobbit.

We hoped you enjoyed the Hobbit gift guide! We hope you enjoy the movie once you see it. Tell us what you think of it in the comments!

  1. I love the case, but I am returning it. I am having to many tracking issues with it over my phone. The sound though the ear piece is also to tinny for my liking. It’s a quality product , it just needs more development.

  2. Hello Jim! Sorry to hear of the issues you were experiencing with your accessory. Which one did you have and which device? We’d like to forward your feedback to the appropriate department.
